WHY SHE LAUGHS™

Joy isn't denial. It's defiance. And it's holy.
A message From the Overflow™ - where real-life faith spills out loud.

I didn’t set out to build a brand. I set out to obey.

About ten years ago, I heard a message that woke something deep in me - not just emotionally, but spiritually and scientifically. It was about laughter: how it’s not just biblical... it’s eternal.
How sound waves (yes, even our giggles, our belly laughs, our mascara-streaked chuckles) are colored airwaves that don’t vanish. They travel. They forever color the air. They shift the atmosphere.
And heaven hears them - forever.
Can you imagine how beautiful?

That same week, I fell in love with Proverbs 31:25:

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”

Girl, that moved me. I loved it. I made a plaque. I hung it up in my office. I even got custom license plates that said SHE LAUGHS.

Joy like that? It’s not silly. It’s not fake.
It’s fierce.
It’s holy defiance.

See, this kind of joy doesn’t pretend everything’s okay.
It proclaims that even when it’s not - God still is.

It’s mascara in your coffee mug and a praise song at the traffic stop.
It’s prayer at midnight and laughter through the tears.
It’s leading your family through chaos with hands raised and eyes locked on the One who already won.

So... why She Laughs™ - and why now?

Last year, my husband found me slumped over my desk.
Quietly sobbing. Pajamas on. Mascara streaking. Hair a mess. Me - a mess.

I had taken a job I knew I wasn’t called to. It drained me.
I aged a decade in five years.

And in that moment, my sweet man said the words that changed everything - and will bless so many others:

“That’s it. I don’t care what happens. You’re not doing this anymore.”

And just like that, I remembered what God had whispered years ago:
She Laughs™, baby.

And I went all in. 💥

Let me tell you something that lights me up more than caffeine and Canva:
My Daddy.
He went to Heaven about 8 years ago, and it still aches every day.

But one of the greatest gifts he gave me was the confidence to ask bold questions and challenge small thinking. He used to say I’d argue with a fence post - and babe, he wasn’t wrong. 😏

A big part of She Laughs™ is exactly that:
Me sharing what I learn through those questions.

You like digging into root words, Queen?
Let’s go biblical.

💥 The original Hebrew calls the virtuous woman: Eshet Chayil

Eshet = Woman (or wife)
Chayil = Strength. Might. Valor. Wealth. ARMY.

SHE. IS. A. WARRIOR.

A kingdom force. A bold, joy-drenched, Spirit-led, truth-talking Queen.
Proverbs 31:10-31
She starts with valor.
She ends with laughter.
And everything in between is holy love poured out.

Now sis, let me keep it real with you. This brand?
This fire in my bones?
It was born out of ashes and obedience.
Out of grief and grit.
Out of faith that refused to fold.

And a burning desire to share those parts of me - with you.

I’m in my late 50s now.
Married 36 years to a good, good man.
Mama. Gramma. Kingdom warrior.

So many life lessons.
So much healing.
So many miracles.

And girl... I’m not here to play small.
I’m here to pour it out. Every drop I fought for.

Because the enemy would rather we hide our stories.
Stay silent. Stay ashamed. Stay alone.

💅 That ain’t happenin’ around here.

The Bible says older women are to teach the younger - and QUEEN, I’m stepping into that call.
Not as a preacher.
But as your sister in the Spirit, standing in the gap with coffee in one hand and a war cry in the other. ☕🔥

I’ve watched the enemy try to tear families apart.
Addiction has touched people I love.
Grief has sucker-punched my soul.
Relationships have left wounds.

And still, God shows up.

I’ve made mistakes. I’ve forgotten to pray. I’ve said the wrong thing.
He still shows up.

This isn’t just a shop. It’s a movement.

It’s a community of Eshet Chayil women rising up.
Waking up.
For such a time as this.

We are not tame.
We are not small.
We are not just here to bake casseroles and whisper in pews.

We are here to make Kingdom impact.
To speak truth in love.
To call out the lies.
To stand up for the next generation.
To laugh anyway.

And while we’re talking about bold...
Can we talk about what Jesus said?

“Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do.”
Now do you know what “whatever” means in the original Hebrew?
Yep.
WHATEVER.

We are not limited by God.
He’s limited by the size of our ask.
Girl - let that sink in.

Imagine the power of prayer - over broken relationships, your kids, dinner plans, and your future.
Big asks. Small asks. Bold faith.
He hears all of it.

From the tees to the journals, the Bible studies to the digital downloads, the “Letters from Women of the Bible”.

Every single thing I create is rooted in this:
You are seen. You are strong. You were born to laugh anyway.

You don’t have to be loud to be powerful.
But girl, you do have to be you.

Welcome to the sisterhood.
I’ll be writing from the overflow - not the pressure.
You’ll find sass, Spirit, and scripture around here.
We laugh loud.
We live bold.
And we give it all back to God.

Follow along.
Bring your coffee.
Share with a sister.
Let’s laugh on purpose. 💕

(Yes, beautiful. That was written with YOU in mind.)
